Beasley rookies are bred to Win.

Saturday the 25th November at Avalon will see the 27th running of the time honored Beasley Family Memorial with a stellar field of drivers from five states gathering together to contest one of the VSDA's "Blue Ribbon" events.

Many great drivers have won this event over the years but this years field includes three rookies.

Two are third generation speedcar drivers and one is a second generation speedway driver who always wanted to drive a midget and now has the opportunity.

The V20 car will be driven by Chris Nankiville at his very first meeting who is the son of former racer Alan "Butch" & grandson of the legendary Frank Nankiville.

The V27 Spike will be driven by Dillon Ghent, son of the "spannerman" & former accomplished driver Peter Ghent and grandson of "Pirate" Peter Ghent Snr. who drove anything with wheels back in the day.

The V14 ex Paul Farrell car will be driven for the very first time by Dan Timberlake who has competed in many speedway classes previously & is the son of celebrated super sedan peddler Peter Timberlake.

Another 3rd gen driver in the field is Toby Smith in the V55 who is just out of his rookie status,he is son of Shane & grandson of the VSDA "Hall of Fame" member Eric Smith.

Along with Kaidon Brown in the V97 also is just out of his rookie status is the son & grandson of a pair of VSDA "Hall of Fame" members in Mark & Robby Brown.

With the pedigree's of these rookies coming into the class it only goes well for the future of the VSDA & we wish all drivers competing at the meeting the very best of fortune.
