For for the first time in a long time, the V10 team ventured south to Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway for Round 3 of the Southern Speedcar Tour on the 22 December.
Wining both his heats Squizzy was again the highest qualifier and assumed pole position for the Amain.
However he didn’t have it all his way this time; NSW Matt Jackson driving the V23 certainly gave him a run for his money and the two traded places lap after lap before Jackson spun in turn 4, Adam Wallis, who has recently returned to Speedcar racing in Victoria also made his presence known and the first half a dozen laps, definitely had fans on the edge of their seats eventually running second.
From lap 6 Squizzy took the lead and ran with it. Navigating the tricky little bullring like he’d been doing it his whole life, with Justin McMinn coming in third.
Following this, the 4th Round of the Southern Speedcar Tour was held at the Laang speedway just 6 days later on the 28th December.
Justin Paull driving the V18 speedcar won his maiden VSDA feature after a character building meeting for everybody in attendance at Laang Speedway last night.
After fixing a misfire in hot laps with the help of other teams lending parts to get him going and not giving up all night Congratulations to Fluxxy, Fly and Justin on getting the job done.
Joe Lostitch and crew battled engine gremlins all evening and persisted to with them to be able to work his way to second.
Nick Parker who earlier in the meeting set a new one & six lap record in heat one struggled with getting a hold on the slick track for the feature but came home in third.
Justin McMinn discovered a engine issue that could not be fixed at the track and did not take any further part in the meeting after the hot laps.
