Travis Mills took out his 5th Feature win for the season when he won an action packed final at Simpson on the 10th March.
The heats were taken out by Nick Parker & Matt Jackson x 2 resulting in the feature grid being Matt Jackson on pole from Nick Parker, Travis Mills, Craig Smith who was going very well, Dillon Ghent, Mitch Whiting, Toby Smith, Joe Lostitch, Adam Wallis & later Justin Paull who had just managed to miss the feature after replacing his front end and being held at the gate after being late to the dummy grid.
At the first attempt to get things underway over 20 laps, Joe Lostitch hit the fence on the front straight resulting in a red light and also being unable to continue, this then allowed Justin Paull to enter the track for a complete restart.
Initially, Jackson led Parker, Mills & C Smith from Ghent, Whiting & Wallis, about 7 laps down Jackson slowed unexpectedly with a broken throttle shaft allowing Mills to take over in the lead from Parker and a very competitive Craig Smith in third.
12 laps were run with Mills & Parker pulling a gap of about 6 seconds over third place when Smith slowed & stopped on the back straight with an engine problem bringing on a yellow.
At the restart it was Mills, Parker,Wallis who had made his way into third from Whiting, Paull & Toby Smith with Ghent pulling to the infield when going into turns 3/4 Wallis made a questionable move from a long way back when challenging Parker for second place which resulted in Parker barrel rolling his car 4 times in a nasty incident resulting in a red light but fortunately the driver was ok
The restart saw Wallis being put to the rear with Mills comfortably leading the remainder of the laps to take the win from Mitch Whiting, Justin Paull & Toby Smith with Wallis pulling to the infield for a DNF.
