Current SA Speedcar Champion Matt Jackson continued his great run of victories this season at Portland last weekend with a hard earned victory over Nick Parker with the "Comeback Kid" Graham Knuckey in his brothers car coming in third followed by Robert Heard & Toby Smith.
Heat wins went to Justin McMinn, Jackson & Parker with McMinn starting on pole for the 20 lap feature from Parker, Jackson, Heard, Chris Nankiville, Knuckey, Mike Griffiths & Toby Smith after losing Craig Smith earlier in the night with a split oil line.
McMinn comfortably lead the early laps until he banged the wall on about lap 8 in the front straight getting a flat right rear, which allowed Parker to take over from Jackson, from there the order stayed the same until 2 laps to go when Parker hit a rut exiting turn two which then allowed Jackson to take over for the remainder of the race from Parker with Graham Knuckey piloting a speedcar again after a long break very happy to come home in third.
